Gardai are treating as suspicious the death of a man whose body was found at the entrance to Tara Street fire station at about 9.30 p.m. yesterday. The man, who was aged about 30 and may have been a foreign national, was discovered by members of the fire brigade.

The body was taken to St James's Hospital and a post mortem will be carried out today by the State pathologist, Dr John Harbison.
