Firearms and ammunition were seized during a raid by customs officers today.
Two revolvers, one bolt-action rifle and a replica assault rifle were recovered in a house in Ardee, Co Louth, during the joint intelligence-led operation with local gardaí.
No arrests were made.
A spokesman for the Revenue’s Customs Service said investigations are continuing and that a file would be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
