Marseille - Several hundred people were evacuated from northern districts of the Mediterranean port city of Marseille yesterday as a fire destroyed more than 400 hectares of forest and scrubland and five villas, officials said.
Strong winds fanned the fire, which started in a pine forest in the Marseille suburb of Septemes-les Vallons. - (PA)
