Gardai in Bailieborough, Co Cavan, are investigating an arson attack which destroyed Corkish Orange Hall on the Kingscourt Road at 1.30 a.m. yesterday. The disused hall was burned out in the blaze, which left only the four exterior walls standing.
No one from the Orange Order was available to comment yesterday. The local parish priest, Father John Murphy, said he was surprised and saddened.
