Fire crews are tackling a blaze at a football club in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim.

Fire crews are tackling a blaze at a football club in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim.

They were called to the clubhouse at Carrick Rangers in Taylors Avenue at about 5.30am.

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Service said three fire engines and an aerial platform were at the scene.

Buildings near the pitch were on fire and smoke was billowing towards neighbouring houses.
