Fire at Limerick industrial estate

Several units of the fire brigade are tackling a fire at an industrial estate on the outskirts of Limerick City.

The fire started shortly before 5:50pm at a cold storage unit in Crossagalla Industrial Estate, Tipperary Road, Limerick.

Units of the Fire Services from Limerick, Clare and Tipperary are currently fighting the blaze.

Nobody was injured in the fire but extensive damage has been caused to the building.

A garda spokesman said traffic diversions are in place and are likely to remain in place overnight.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
