DUBAI - The Filipina maid whose conviction for murder in "the United Arab Emirates led to international outrage, was freed from jail yesterday and is on her way home.
Ms Sarah Balabagan flew out of Abu Dhabi at around noon (local time) and "she is no longer in UAE territory". She was released because of her good behaviour in prison.
