Three prisoners were returned to their cells in Limerick prison yesterday after being questioned at Roxboro Garda Station about an alleged assault on a prison officer on Wednesday.
A file is being prepared for the DPP. The prison officer, Mr Alan Kavanagh (38) received facial injuries which required 65 stitches.
