Fijian government named

Suva - Fiji's military named an all-indigenous Fijian government yesterday to replace the multi-racial coalition of the Prime Minister, Mr Mahendra Chaudhry, whom nationalist rebels have held hostage since a May 19th coup attempt. Military chief Commodore Frank Bainimarama, who remains head of state, named banker Mr Laisenia Qarase as prime minister of an interim government.
