Fianna Fail has called for an extraordinary session of the Forum for Peace and Reconciliation on March 22nd to consider whether it has a role to play in re establishing peace.
The party's co ordinator, Mr Noel Dempsey, has written to the forum chairwoman, Judge Catherine McGuinness, seeking a committee meeting of delegations next Friday.
Mr Dempsey suggested that an extraordinary session, including Sinn Fein, could also be held.
