The threat of industrial action at Irish Ferries has been lifted following agreement by management and unions to recommend proposals put forward by the Labour Relations Commission, according to a spokesman. This follows day-long talks yesterday. All sailings will continue to operate normally, the spokesman said.

The proposals, put forward by the LRC, were linked to Irish Ferries' decision to discontinue winter services to France from next Sunday.
