Gardai appealed for witnesses today after a pensioner was killed in a collision with a car.

Gardai appealed for witnesses today after a pensioner was killed in a collision with a car.

The woman, in her 70s, was struck at the entrance to the Greenwood Estate on the Togher Road in Cork city around 7.30pm last night. Gardai said the woman was brought to Cork University Hospital.

Gardai at Togher Station appealed for witnesses to contact them.
