There are growing fears over the future of around 350 workers at a Kildare meat factory which was extensively damaged in a fire last night.

The fire at the Kildare Chilling Company left two of the main production lines badly damaged.

Siptu branch organizer Adrian Kane said he expects to meet with management on Monday when a full assessment of the damage will be possible.

The Kildare Chilling Company employs 350 people.
