Oberhausen - A 32-year-old father and four children aged between one and 16 died in a fire that destroyed their house in Germany's North Rhine town of Oberhausen, police said yesterday.
They said the mother of the children was in hospital with life-threatening injuries as a result of the blaze which broke out around midnight on Sunday and engulfed the family's house before emergency services could reach the scene.
