A Co Limerick man died in a tractor accident at his family farm on Saturday night. Mr Liam Ryan (25), of Shanacloone, Cappamore, died when his clothes became entangled in the drive shaft at the back of the tractor. He was pronounced dead at Limerick Regional Hospital. A post-mortem was carried out yesterday.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to an accident in Co Wicklow on Friday night in which a woman died. Ms Lillian Bennett (65), a native of Arklow, was hit by a motorcycle while walking at Ticknock, on the Arklow-Dublin road.
