GARDAI believe the fire in Wicklow in which two men were killed at the weekend was accidental.

GARDAI believe the fire in Wicklow in which two men were killed at the weekend was accidental.

The fire broke out at a house in Kilmantin Hill around 5 a.m. on Sunday. There were reports of shouting about the time the blaze started and gardai were initially treating the circumstances as suspicious.

However, Garda sources now say the preliminary results of the investigation suggest it was accidental.

The men were named as Mr Stephen Taylor (20), from Greystones, Co Wicklow, and his cousin, Mr Robin Lamb, (26), from Dalkey, Co Dublin.
