The top prize of £5,000 in last night's 1997 Ulster Bank Late Late Show fashion awards went to Ms Lyn Elliot, a native of Summerhill in Co Meath, who works under the Lyn Mar label.
The student designer of the year was Ms Mia Satana, a Finnish student at the Limerick College of Art and Design, who won £1,000. Ms Miriam Mone, who dressed the President, Mrs McAleese, for her inauguration, won the suit category.
