Gardai in Navan, Co Meath, are investigating the death of a 52 year old farmer whose body was found near out houses at his farm in Hanlonstown on Tuesday. A post mortem examination was carried out yesterday on the body of Mr John Lightholder, which was found by his wife beside an electrical pump. It is believed that he may have been using the pump to inflate a tractor tyre.

ESB staff visited the farm yesterday and examined the equipment. It is understood that they found a number of loose wires.
