A trade union leader has been accused of combining "ignorance of the facts and malice" in his attacks on farmers. The honorary treasurer of the Irish Farmers Association, Mr Tom Parlon, said attacks on farmers by the SIPTU vice president, Mr Jimmy Somers, on farmers over public spending were unjustified.
