LONDON - The children of serial killers Fred and Rosemary West have angrily opposed any plans to make a film about their parents. "Why should any of us be given money because of something terrible our parents did?" Mr Stephen West told the Observer newspaper.

On Thursday, a British entertainments company shelved plans to make the controversial film. Fred West was found hanged two years ago in a prison cell where he was awaiting trial on multiple charges of murder. Many of his victims' bodies were found buried at his home at 25 Cromwell Street, Gloucester.

Rosemary West is serving 10 life sentences for murdering girls and young women.
