TIRANA - The Italian Prime Minister, Mr Romano Prodi, said yesterday that an Italian led UN security force would help pave the way for fair elections in Albania.
"Italy wants to help Albania to reconstruct the state and to have quick democratic, transparent elections," he told a joint news conference with Prime Minister Bashkim Fino.
An Italian led security force is due to start arriving in Durres tomorrow to protect aid shipments.
