Junior minister Mr Frank Fahey said this morning he will put his name forward to run for Fianna Fáil in the European elections in June.

The Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment is hoping for selection to run in the new North West constituency.

Mr Fahey said his "sole interest" was out a "sense of responsibility" to his party to win two of the three seats in the constituency.
