Exxon Mobil said today one of its units, with two other companies, has been awarded two additional licences in the Porcupine Basin of the Irish Sea.

The licences being awarded to ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Ireland, along with Providence Resources and Sosina Exploration, are in depths of over 6,500 feet.

ExxonMobil said the new awards bring the company's Porcupine Basin interests to 18 exploration blocks, with an option for an additional 15 blocks.
