Ireland has formally requested the extradition from the Netherlands of a suspect in the murder of journalist, Veronica Guerin, in June 1996, Dutch judicial sources said yesterday. Mr Brian Meehan (32) was arrested in Amsterdam on October 10th.
The Netherlands Minister of Justice will make a decision on Ireland's request within the next few days.
