Explosive device found in Dublin

An explosive device was discovered in Dublin city last night and made safe by members of the army bomb disposal team.

An explosive device was discovered in Dublin city last night and made safe by members of the army bomb disposal team.

The device, which was described as "viable", was discovered at an address in Captains Road in Crumlin, Dublin 12, at about 10.45pm.

Army bomb disposal team members removed the device for further analysis and the scene was declared safe an hour later.

Following detailed examination, the device will be handed over to the gardai for their investigation.
