Fort Belvoir - Gene McKinney, the US army's former top enlisted soldier, pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting and harassing women soldiers as his court martial began near Washington yesterday.
Six women soldiers have claimed he assaulted them or made crude passes between 1994 and 1997. One woman alleges he pressured her into having unwanted sex with him when she was nearly eight months pregnant and another said he threatened her to stop her from testifying against him.
