Eviction order against couple

Cork Corporation was granted an eviction order yesterday allowing it to remove a couple from a local authority house which they have been occupying illegally for the past 10 days. Mr John Lane and his wife Kitty, both in their 60s, left their three bedroom flat at Cushing Road in Cork and moved their belongings into the house at Popham's Road after they heard that a travelling family was to be allocated the property which, they believed, they had been promised.
