DUBLIN - A process intended to lead to a trade agreement between the EU and Mexico got underway in Brussels yesterday, reports David Shanks.

It was agreed at a consultative meeting between Mexican Trade and Foreign Ministry negotiators and EU officials that intense negotiations would begin "as soon as possible", according to the Mexican ambassador to Ireland, Mr Daniel Dultzin. This may be early next month.
