Although support from the European Union was worth Pounds 393 a year to every man, woman and child in the State, many groups were still in the dark about their funding entitlements, the Minister of State for European Affairs, Mr Gay Mitchell, said yesterday.
Launching a free booklet, European Funding in Ireland Your Guide, Mr Mitchell said Ireland had received Pounds 18.5 billion in net transfers as a result of EU membership. Greece received Pounds 300 a year per head of population.
