ETA threatens politician

Madrid - The Basque separatist group ETA has threatened to kill another local politician saying he would suffer the same fate as a town councillor murdered last July if he did not leave the Basque country. Mr Luis Valero (34), the mayor of Tafalla, a town in Navarre, 40 km south of Pamplona, found an anonymous letter waiting for him when he returned from holiday with his family at the weekend. It urged him to leave the Basque country within 30 days.
