Warsaw - An escaped Bengal tiger attacked a veterinarian yesterday before being shot by Polish police after a two-hour chase through a busy Warsaw suburb. The vet also died, but probably because he was hit in a police hail of bullet meant for the circus tiger, hospital officials and local media reported.
