The new Minister of State at the Department of Tourism, Sport, and Recreation, Mr Eoin Ryan (46) represents Dublin South East in the Dail. He is a son of former senator Mr Eoin Ryan and a grandson of Dr Jim Ryan, a founder of the Fianna Fail party and a close associate of Mr Eamon de Valera.
Mr Ryan was elected to the Dail in 1992 after unsuccessfully contesting the 1987 and 1989 general elections.
