An English soccer supporter has had his sentence hearing for committing an assault during the Lansdowne Road riot adjourned to April 9th next.

Last month, Terence Hosking (32), of Sandgate, Kendal, in Cumbria, admitted assaulting Mr Christopher Duffy, occasioning him actual bodily harm, at the Irish Rugby Football Grounds where Ireland played England in a soccer friendly on February 15th, 1995.

Hosking has been remanded on continuing bail to appear again at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court in April.
