Energia wins Pizza Hut contract

Private electricity company Energia has won a contract to supply electricity to Pizza Hut in a deal worth around €380,000.

Private electricity company Energia has won a contract to supply electricity to Pizza Hut in a deal worth around €380,000.

The contract includes eight Pizza Hut restaurants in the Republic and 12 in the North that Energia will supply from its power station in Huntstown in north Dublin.

A member of the Viridian Group, Energia provides power from its 343 megawatt power station at Huntstown.

Viridian is investing in a second power plant at Huntstown that will bring the group's investment in the Republic to €500 million, providing around 17 per cent of the State's total electricity requirements.
