Electricians in the construction industry have voted narrowly to accept a pay increase of £33 a week. The ballot was concluded late last night by the
Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union and has averted a strike that would have disrupted work throughout the Republic.
The result was welcomed by TEEU assistant general secretary Mr Finn Lawless.
