Elderly women hurt in Belfast robbery

Two elderly women have been attacked and robbed at their west Belfast home.

Two elderly women have been attacked and robbed at their west Belfast home.

One victim sustained a head injury during the struggle at Barrack Street shortly after 7pm last night.

Both women, in their 80s, were taken to hospital.

The attackers escaped with a substantial sum of cash.

A PSNI spokesperson said two men were seen driving away in a blue car and have appealed for anybody with information to contact them.
