An elderly woman has been killed in a road crash in Co Offaly.
The woman, who was in her 70s, died when the car she was driving collided with a lorry on the Tullamore to Birr Road at around 2.30pm..
The lorry driver, who is not thought to be seriously injured, was removed to Tullamore General Hospital. The road was closed in the area of the crash.
Gardaí in Tullamore are investigating.
