A man in his 70s died last night after being hit by a car at the junction of Upper Rock Street and Brewery Road in Tralee, Co Kerry. The accident happened at approximately 7.20 p.m. yesterday evening. He died shortly afterwards in the ambulance on his way to hospital. The man is said to be from the Tralee area. His name has not yet been released by gardai.
