An elderly couple, ‘ who were both in their 70s, have died following a house fire in Tipperary last night.
The fire occurred in the couples home on the Golf Links Road about half a mile outside of Tipperary Town.
A post mortem is due to be carried out tomorrow.
A Garda spokesman said that they did not suspect any suspicious activity regarding the fire. Gardaí have preserved the scene of the fire for technical examination.
