Eight people were being questioned by gardaí yesterday in relation to the seizure of cannabis worth some €650,000 in Dublin and Kildare.
Seven men and one woman were arrested during separate searches of two cars and an apartment on Tuesday.
Some 30kg of cannabis herb with a street value of €360,000 was seized by gardaí in two cars that were stopped in Celbridge, Co Kildare. Four men were arrested. Gardaí made a second cannabis seizure in a raid at Adamstown, west Dublin. Some 25kg of cannabis herb with a value of €300,000 was seized in the apartment. Three men and a woman were arrested. All those held can be detained for up to seven days.
