The Eastern Health Board will rehouse 50 mentally handicapped people from St Ita's Hospital in Portrane, Co Dublin, in nine new "community homes". Five of the houses are in Blackrock, Co Dublin, The EHR bought them for £1.5 million and is "at an advanced planning stage" for a "further village complex of five houses", according to a spokeswoman.
