A new Egyptian ambassador yesterday presented his credentials to the President, Mrs Robinson. Mr Hassan Waflk Salem (above) was given an escort of honour by Army motor cyclists on his way to and from Aras an Uachtarain.
The Minister of State for the Marine, Mr Eamon Gilmore, represented the Government at the ceremony.
