Egyptian border guards shot dead a Palestinian man at the Egypt-Gaza frontier after Israeli troops pulled out of the area today.
Palestinian witnesses said the Egyptians opened fire to disperse crowds of Palestinians and Egyptians flooding across the border both ways.
There was no immediate comment from Egyptian officials.
