Ireland and Malaysia are to join forces and strengthen education links following an official visit by Dr Michael Woods, the Minister for Education and Science.

He met his Malaysian counterpart, YB Tan Sri Dato' Musa Bin Mohamad, as part of this visit last week.

Together the two countries aim to strengthen educational and economic links. Dr Woods points out that strong links exist already, largely through the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, which has some 400 alumni doctors in Malaysia.
