Two films on teaching the new Leaving Cert music and businesss syllabi will be distributed to second-level schools. With support materials, they will show a wide variety of practices by a range of teachers for the new syllabi. Launched in Dublin last week by the Minister for Education and Science, Micheal Martin, the films form part of the in-service programme for the new syllabi and were devised after the appointment of seven business teachers and four music teachers to the Department's in-career development unit to mastermind a support strategy. The in-service programme is being administered through Waterford Teachers' Centre.
