`There were very few books around when I was a child. I read anything I could get my hands on without any guidance or discrimination. They were all marvellous to me because they were rare. It was only much later, as a teenager, that specific books stay with me. Books like Treasure Island, Kidnapped, David Copperfield and Westerns by Zane Gray. I also read comics like the The Wizard, Hotspur and Rover. I still think that the best guide to reading is pleasure and anything that gives you pleasure is good, no matter what age you read it at.
All marvellous
