Staff at EBS have deferred a planned one-day strike over Christmas bonuses this week for seven days.

Staff at EBS have deferred a planned one-day strike over Christmas bonuses this week for seven days.

Management and union representatives are due to meet at the Labour Relations Commission tomorrow morning.

"We have agreed to meet at the Labour Relations Commission and will hopefully make progress towards resolving this issue," said Colm Quinlan, regional officer of Unite in a statement today.

The dispute centres on the withholding of a 13th-month payment traditionally made to staff in December.

The equivalent of the payment was made to management at the company.
