British airline Easyjet said this morning its load factor - a measure of how well it filled planes - was up 0.6 percentage points to 81.2 per cent in December.

The airline said passenger numbers in December rose 11.2 per cent to 2.638 million.

Total revenue for the 12 months to end-December 2006 was up 20.7 per cent to £1.667 billion sterling from £1.381 billion in the same period a year ago.
