Hong Kong - A severe earthquake with its epicentre in the Minahassa peninsula in east Indonesia was recorded late yesterday, the Hong Kong observatory reported. The magnitude was estimated to be 6.8 on the Richter scale. There was no immediate report of damage or casualties.
