Councillor Paddy Burke will be the next Lord Mayor of Dublin, Labour Party councillors have decided. He won the vote yesterday against Ms Roisin Shortall TD and Councillor Mary Freehill, and will succeed the present Lord Mayor Mr Sean Dublin Bay Rockall Loftus, whose term ends in July.
